Powerful Professionals Workshop

This workshop is aimed at professionals and their leaders—including systems analysts, engineers, financial professionals, human resource advisors, public affairs advisors, etc.—anyone whose role is to deliver an expertise to organizations.

Once, professionals were only expected to research and make recommendations about management-predefined technical or professional problems. Who ensured those recommendations met business and organizational needs?
This was not considered to be the professionals’ role or responsibility. The manager, client or customer was expected to take care of all that!

No more! Now, professionals themselves are expected to take care of the “full cycle,” from surfacing and defining the underlying, “real” need, to negotiating the best approach to the problem; to ensuring a strategic solution is selected, to selling the solution to multiple stakeholders; then often leading the change to ensure the recommendations are implemented effectively. We call that person a Powerful Professional.

To assist professionals to deliver their expertise more successfully by increasing skills in:

  • using a five stage process to successfully deliver an expertise.
  • establishing productive professional-client/customer/manager relationships.
  • developing interpersonal techniques & communications for working with others.
  • clarifying expectations and roles.
  • creating value-added professional roles supporting the direction of the organization.

In addition, a customer/client service 360 survey, the Powerful Feedback Report, gives each participant very specific skill feedback on areas of strength and on areas needing improvement. The objective of this confidential feedback is:

  • action planning for specifically targeted behaviour change and results.
